Sightseeing

In 'Poppyland' within easy reach are the National Trust properties of Blickling and Felbrigg Halls and also Sheringham Park - offering wonderful walks through spectacular rhododendrons.

Cromer has lovely beaches and at Sheringham the North Norfolk steam railway runs through wonderful scenery to the Georgian town of Holt.

The coast road to the west leads to some lovely villages including Morston and Blakeney where boat trips are available to visit the bird sanctuary and seal colony of Blakeney Point and further on is the Queen’s holiday residence at Sandringham.

The ‘Fine City’ of Norwich with its 900 year old Cathedral, Norman Castle and many other interesting historical sites is well worth a visit. It also offers some of the country’s best shopping facilities.

In North Norfolk there are around 45 miles of coastline, with long sandy beaches, flint pebble banks and salt marshes.
